This scrawny looking tree is a London Plane tree which is very similar to a sycamore, but is supposedly not as messy with the twigs, leaves, and seed pods. I really love the white bark that sycamores have and unfortunately the London Plane has bark that is more tan in color. But it will be an excellent shade tree and it is supposed to be very strong in addition to growing very large very quickly. We have them on each side of the front of our house.
We are planning to put this granite veneer over the cinderblock foundation and garage area. It should look pretty nice with the gray siding, the white trim, the green roof, and the purple door.
